Permanent Make Up is the process of implanting pigment into the skins upper dermal layer to naturally enhance your features. The pigments are placed into the skin at a level where they will fade out naturally unlike a normal tattoo.
There is no definitive answer to this question as results depend on a number of different factors, including pre-care, after-care, technique and the individual person. How well they are looked after and life style all affect pigment retention. The general life-span is between 1 and 2 years all dependant on the above.
The treatment can be slightly uncomfortable at the beginning. However after the skin is broken I do apply a numbing gel which gets to work straight away. You will never be in any significant amount of pain throughout the treatment.
Alcohol and caffeine thins your blood resulting in excessive bleeding during the treatment. This can lead to lack of pigment retention, pigment migration and excessive scabbing & swelling. Ultimately this can affect the end result of your PMU. I recommend avoiding alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment for best results.
